Testimonials

mitchell“I have had the privilege of working with Leigh the past two years. I am constantly impressed with the amount of energy, creativity and heart she puts into every one of her lessons. She considers the needs of each child and each class to assure that everyone’s needs are met. Working with students at Title One School is never an easy task. She has taught our students (who are at times explosive, angry, or frustrated) how to calm themselves down through breathing and yoga poses. She demonstrates patience and kindness toward the children that they not only appreciate, but they try to emulate.” PE Teacher, Mitchell Elementary

“Leigh has been working with our son for over a year now, and we cannot say enough positive remarks about her services. She is very professional, dependable, thorough and full of helpful ways to improve our son’s skills. She always shows a great amount of patience, which is crucial in keeping our son interested since he is a busy a two year old. We have been extremely pleased with all of her sessions, suggestions, tips, feedback and time. Our son has made great strides over the course of the past year!” Mother of OT client

“What can I say, but we love Leigh. She’s worked with my 5 year old daughter for almost a year and wow, what changes we’ve seen! Landry’s improved in all areas of her fine motor skills, self-control, attention and her confidence has soared. Leigh brings a calm sensibility to her lessons and shares tips on how to continue lessons throughout the week. She is a motivator, enthusiast, teacher, partner and wonderfully caring therapist.” Parent of OT Client

“Ms. Crowder’s yoga class has made a positive impact on my students physical, academic and behavioral needs. Her unique background as an OT and yoga instructor gives my students opportunities to strengthen weak or tight muscles areas that provide them with a greater range of motion. She also spends time modeling specific breathing patterns and exercises that help them relax or calm down my students with Autism. I value the focus and “calm” atmosphere that she creates each time she works with my students.  Most importantly, Ms. Crowder has given me the opportunity to learn how to incorporate yoga into my daily behavior management system and academics to become a better teacher.Special Education Teacher, Mitchell Elementary

“Our school has been fortunate to have Leigh teaching yoga to our students for 2 years now. Leigh is patient, organized, creative, caring and calm at all times. We have some very challenging students and she handles them with a warm heart. She is teaching our students life skills that will continue to help them after they leave our school.” PE Teacher, Mitchell Elementary
